Safety

Our approach to safety

Nothing is ever guaranteed when nature sets the terms. So we read the conditions, and we don't push our luck.

A briefing before you start

Your guide runs through how the day will go and what to watch for, so first-timers can clear up any questions before setting off.

Equipment and how the day runs

We explain the equipment you'll need and how the day works when you book and again on the day. Ask us anything in advance.

An experienced guide with you

A guide with real river experience goes with you, reading the conditions as the trip unfolds.

Decisions based on weather and river conditions

Your guide decides whether to run the trip, and in what form, based on the weather and the state of the river. We never force a trip through.

What we ask of you

So that everyone can enjoy the day safely, we ask you to follow your guide's instructions on the water.

Health concerns: talk to us first

If you have a medical condition or any concern about your health, get in touch before you book and we'll advise you.

For anything not covered here, such as equipment details or the conditions for running a trip, we'll explain when you book, or you can ask us directly. Contact us
